Only 30 minutes away, a great park to visit : Le Puy du
Fou. We recommend the visit of the park as well as
spending an evening there to enjoy the magnificient night
show (we advise you to reserve ahead of time).

seat for the Tour de France arriving at Les Essarts ( 3
July), only ten minutes away from the gite.

Only 50 minutes away, the ocean awaits you, especially
the vast, quiet and beautiful public beaches of white sand
at La Tranche sur Mer.

You could have a go at your favorite water sports
(windsurfing,canoeing), 20 minutes away, at the Lac de
Rochereau . Fishing is also possible (night fishing for
carps authorized). Situated on a dam, this lake offers a
variety of white fish and carnevorous fish.

You may arrive by the road where is situated the "Mont des
Alouettes" a historical site in Vendée. It offers a
panoramic view of a major part of the Vendée "bocage",
20 minutes away from the gîte.

Not more than 10 minutes away, the Chateau des Essarts
is open for visits in July and August. Guided tours between
2.30 PM and 6 PM.

60 minutes away, in the heart of the "Marais Poitevin", you
can visit "La Venise Verte" (the Green Venice) in a small
boat, in a canoe or just bicycling around, at the Mazeau,
landing stage of La Venise Verte. A family size landing
stage in the heart of this still wild marsh, offering guided
tours aboard traditionnal small boats.

stroll along the banks of the Sèvre Nantaise river and
accross the forest awaits you.
